Can I Create A Text or Image Link?
By SiteThingy Administrator Any text or image may be turned into a hyperlink. Look here to find out how. Creating a hyperlink within To create a hyper-linked word or phrase - Simply highlight the word or phrase you want to turn into a link by placing your mouse curser at the beginning of the word or phrase and left-clicking with your mouse then moving the mouse until you have the entire word or phrase desired highlighted. Without clicking in the Details box, look above at the text editor icons available. Select the little blue globe with the chain link below it. This will open a pop-up window where you will enter the URL or full website address for the destination site you would like the word or phrase linked to. Make sure the Link Type says URL if you are linking to a website page. Then simply enter the full website address in the box marked "URL." Click OK. When the box goes away, simply click the Submit Content button located at the bottom of the page you are editing and your link will now be live! To link to an email address - Follow the same procedure above, however, when the pop up window opens, click on the down arrow for the Link Type and select "Email." Then just enter the email address you want the word or phrase linked to and click OK. Then, again, click on the Submit Content button at the bottom of the page to make your link live. To create a hyper-linked photo or graphic - The procedure is the same as with linking to a word or phrase, only instead of highlighting text, you will simply click on the photo or graphic visible in your text editor and then follow the rest of the instructions above beginning with clicking on the little blue globe with the chain link below it. |
