Why Aren't My Photos Showing Up When I Log Out of My Site Admin Pages?
By SiteThingy Administrator This is a common problem with new site owners. Fortunately, there is a very simple solution! We frequently hear from people who are having a great time editing the pages of their site, adding photos and text, etc. but they are surprised and a little freaked out, after all their hard work, to find that some or all of their photos or graphics are not visible when they log out of their admin pages. Here is the solution: You always need to make sure that after you upload a new graphic or photo to your Image Gallery you click on the link at the top of the page for that image that says "Edit Properties" and make sure the check box for "Is Published" is checked, then save the page. You will notice that this will immediately solve the problem for you. Try to remember that you can use your admin pages as a "test environment" creating new pages to your hearts delight without the rest of the world to see until you check the "Is Published" boxes. This is a great benefit! You probably don't want the world to see your partially completed pages! But once you have perfected those pages, you need to make sure the page itself, as well as any associated photos or graphics, are published, otherwise, they won't be visible. In any case, always click on the Edit Properties link at the top of the page the images appear on and make sure the "Is Published" check box is checked and submitted. |
